We are delighted to announce that Dundee Foodbank have been invited to undertake a food and money collection prior to the big derby match between Dundee and Dundee Utd at Dens Park on Sunday 30th July 1-3pm. This is the first time we’ll have collected at a derby match in 3 years and we are greatly looking forward to coming back.

Whether you are a ‘Dark Blue’ or an ‘Arab’ we are appealing for all fans attending (and even those who are not!) to consider making a small donation to Dundee Foodbank to help us keep up with the high demand that we are unfortunately facing. We will have three collection points on the day outside the Bobby Cox, Bob Shankley and South Stands.

At the moment, we are very low on the following items so would greatly appreciate these;

  • Tinned vegetables
  • Tinned fruit
  • Tinned puddings (e.g. rice pudding,custard, semolina)
  • Tinned meat (e.g. corned beef, spam, ham)
  • Coffee
  • Toiletries (especially shampoo, shower gel, soap, deodorant)

However we are grateful to any non-perishable donation we receive. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any fresh or frozen items. We are also unable to distribute any food item that has already been opened or is out-of-date.

Our collection points will be open from 1pm right up until kick-off at 3pm.

Thank you so much to all at Dundee FC for organising this event and helping us to secure vital stock needs to help us ensure that individuals and families in Dundee are not going hungry. We hope to see you there on the day!
