PLEASE BE AWARE when making a donation using our JustGiving site, once you have entered your card details JustGiving have placed a request for a Tip (“JustGiving won’t be charging a platform fee to the charity. Adding a small tip on top of your donation means we can continue to help more people.”)
JustGiving will have automatically added their Tip to the amount you asked to donate to Dundee and Angus Foodbank and the only way to remove this tip from your final bill is to click on “Enter custom amount” and delete the amount shown or at the final checkout click on Edit beside the Donation amount. Do not use the slider as it does not go back to zero.
This Tip is placed without the consent or foreknowledge of Dundee and Angus Foodbank. We do not deny the right of JustGiving to ask for a contribution BUT this should be voluntary and not automatically added and in such a way that you have to search around how to remove it. A simple “would you like to add a TIP” YES or NO is sufficient. If yes it takes the donor to the screen where they can add the amount they wish.
Dundee and Angus Foodbank actually pay a monthly subscription of £39 + VAT to JustGiving who also reclaim payment processing fees and a processing fee for reclaiming Gift Aid.

If you find you have been charged for a TIP that you didn’t want to make please email [email protected] and ask for the tip to be refunded, giving the following information; Payment Date, Payment Amount and Payment Reference/number.
