Volunteer

Our volunteers help us to provide food and practical support to people left without enough money to live on.

Volunteers make a difference in the local community across a range of roles, including boosting donations, packing food parcels, providing a warm welcome, tackling loneliness, signposting to additional services, connecting with partners, raising awareness and leading projects.

Volunteer roles

There’s a range of ways you can volunteer at our foodbank:

  • Warehouse volunteer
  • Client welcome & bag packing volunteer
  • Office administration
  • Van driver
  • Community cafe volunteer

How to volunteer

Please see our current volunteering opportunities below:

Van driver

This role would be helping with the regular Friday morning collections around Dundee, between 8:30-10:30am. Prospective candidates need to have a valid driving license, and would need to send a photograph of this alongside their volunteer application form.

All other roles

All other volunteering slots are currently full. However, if you're interested in being put on a waiting list, please fill in the Application Form and send it over via email to info@dundeeandangus.foodbank.org.uk (or click the button below), expressing which role you're interested in and your availability during the week. We aim to respond to these within two weeks of receiving the form, however this is often quicker.

Additionally, we will post any new opportunities on social media, so make sure you are following us on Facebook to get up to date news.
